Score Structure

With input from your institutional research team, scores on the SAT can provide deep insight into student readiness. Robust score reports indicate whether a student has met the College and Career Readiness benchmarks and include percentiles comparing the student's score to other SAT test takers in the past three graduating cohorts.

Score Summary

Reports include these scores:

  • One total score
  • Two section scores

Score reports also show whether a student has met the College and Career Readiness benchmark. If a student's section score meets or exceeds the benchmark, the student has a 75% chance of earning at least a C in first-semester, credit-bearing college courses related to that section (Reading and Writing or Math).

Additionally, you'll see percentiles that rank a student's scores among all SAT takers in their country from the past three graduating cohorts.
