To sign up for the PSAT 8/9, just get in touch with a local school.
How to Get Started
Find and contact a local school that’s giving the test you want to take.
Contact the school early. Our advice: Reach out at least four months before the test.
Testing with Accommodations
If you have a disability and need to test with accommodations, let the school know right away so that they have time to order nonstandard test materials.
What to Bring on Test Day
- Two No. 2 pencils with erasers
- An approved calculator
- Valid government-issued photo ID. If unavailable, students can use a notarized College Board Student ID Form (.pdf/122 KB).
- Just as important: What not to bring
Score reports will be sent to your home address.
