Are you taking the SAT Subject Tests—or the SAT—outside the United States and U.S. territories or commonwealths? You might have to meet additional requirements to register for or to take the test.

Requirements by Country

Telephone reregistration, waitlist status requests, and test center changes are not permitted.

The only acceptable forms of identification are a valid:

  • Current national ID of the country in which the test center is located
  • Current passport

No other identification is accepted for entrance to the test center.

A national ID is only valid in the country of issuance. If you travel to another country to test, you have to provide a passport as identification.

You must submit your paper registration with payment made to "The College Board" by a check drawn on a U.S. bank, U.S. Postal Service money order, international money order, UNESCO coupon, or a bank draft. No credit cards are accepted.

Completed registration forms and appropriate payment should be mailed to arrive by the early deadline. Mail them to:

Restricted Countries and Persons

As a United States-based corporation, the College Board, along with our representatives overseas, is subject to U.S. economic sanctions, laws, and regulations. We are therefore prohibited from providing testing services to or accepting registrations from persons in certain countries or to persons designated by the U.S. government as Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons.
